Measuring Team Performance

Workshop PPP Statement

Purpose:

To help team leaders, team facilitators, managers, supervisors and trainers define the goals and determine the measures that teams need to be successful. Participants will learn practical methods teams can use to evaluate their performance, dynamics and effectiveness and how to apply these methods in everyday situations. The training will be based on the text Measuring Team Performance, by Gloria Bader, Audrey Bloom and Richard Chang, and supplemented by other proven material and work experiences.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
  • Conduct a team's baseline (where we are now) set of measures.
  • Determine the type (quantitative / qualitative) and frequency of measures to be used by the team.
  • Administer the appropriate tool(s) to use for measuring ongoing team performance.
  • Track a team's progress toward achieving its business goal(s) for product and service quality.
  • Effectively use the results of the team's measurements to improve overall team performance.
