Six Sigma

Why Six Sigma?

From the early beginnings of the quality movement in this country, there has been a continual search for the "best" approach to satisfying the needs and expectations of customers. The Six Sigma approach to quality improvement has resurfaced in the last several years to take its place as the current quality mantra. Six Sigma was originated by Motorola in the mid-1980's and refers to standard quality control techniques that are taught and applied in a systematic way. It is a comprehensive and flexible system for achieving, sustaining and maximizing business success. It is uniquely driven by developing a close understanding of customers needs, a disciplined use of facts, data and statistical analysis and diligent attention to managing, improving and reinventing business processes.
