Role Description Process
An invaluable process to capture the goals and expectations of a role or similar group of roles within an organization, thereby creating ownership of the role through involvement and participation by all key groups connected to it.
Workshop PPP Statement
Purpose:
- To define the nature and scope of a role in terms of objectives, responsibilities, expectations and key results.
Products:
- Scope of role is defined
- Expectations are established
- A profile and framework for the role is created for applications such as: selection, training, performance reviews and development
Process:
- Gather 360 degree input from:
- Person(s) in role
- Supervisor or manager
- Peers
- Direct reports
- Other key contacts e.g. customers
