Shock Wave Riders
The name comes from a novel by the same title, brought to our attention by Michael Rainer, CEO of Exploration Resources, an original member of the group
Change Partners, L.L.C. formed as a company in July, 1996. Because we see part of our mission as providing an environment supportive of managers in key positions in Manufacturing and Service Industry, we invited selected leaders to participate in the Shock Wave Riders. The goal is economic strength in the region based on superior, visionary industrial leadership. Annual membership is $2,500.00
PPP Statement
Purpose:
- Eight to ten people in top management positions sharing common professional / personal development goals
- Theme of leadership in times of great change
- Seeking new ideas and methods
- Fundamental belief that all employees have high value and critical impact on business results
- Willing to share experiences and knowledge with others
- Mutual support / helping one another attain insight and goals
- Welcome new plant managers / CEOs to the area
Processes:
- Monthly dinner sessions in a relaxed environment
- Informal format, conversational
- Topical around common readings or leadership questions/issues
- Each, over time, reveal personal / professional goals so that others can be aware and contribute to success
- As the group's interests emerge, bring in national expert once or twice per year for in-depth pursuit of knowledge or skill
- Focused efforts on topics such as safety, Kaizen Blitz, Lean Accounting, teams
- Annual Celebrating Work Teams Conference
